April showers brought more than May flowers at the Partnership for Inner-City Education. They brought a very generous $2 million grant from the Louis V. Gerstner Family Foundation to be used for scholarships across all six network schools. The grant will be provided in four equal installments over four years and impact approximately 350 students each year. A stalwart supporter of the Partnership for over six years, the Gerstner Family Foundation requires their Gerstner scholars to maintain better than average grades. With over 55% of students in the network qualifying for scholarships and the fact that for these families receiving a scholarship is the difference between being able to start and continue their studies at our schools, makes this award vital to the success of our students and our network.
Please join us in thanking the Gerstner Family Foundation for making such a powerful contribution to the lives of our students.
