Today, Superintendent Kathleen Porter-Magee participated in a virtual Manhattan Institute panel, along with Nicole Stelle Garnett, Michael Helfand, and Susan Labadi, with the conversation moderated by Andy Smarick. Together, the group discussed the upcoming Carson vs. Makin Supreme Court case and its potential effects on religious schools and educational pluralism in the future, given that the “decision may set a precedent for the legal treatment of religious schools nationally,” the Manhattan Institute wrote.
